The trial of Mahmud Tukur, the son of The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur, has been moved to February 24, 2014.
Tukur and 11 others were charged to court last year by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Their prosecution was over matters relating to their alleged involvement in the mismanagement of the fuel subsidy regime of 2011.
According to reports:
Mr. Tukur is charged alongside Alex Ochonogor, Abdullahi Alao, and Eterna Oil Ltd for
fuel subsidy fraud amounting to N1.2 billion.
The suspects had been arraigned last year before Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo before the judge was transferred out of the court’s Criminal Division.
