Private Hospital or Baby Factory: Imo State Police Probe Ownership of 10 Exotic Cars

 

Imo State Police Command says it has commenced serious investigations to establish the real owners of the 10 exotic cars impounded from the premises of Ezuma Private Hospital, Owerri.

Mr. Mohammed Musa Katsina, the State Commissioner of Police, confirmed this information to Vanguard.

“Up till this very moment of this interview, the so-called medical doctor (Dr. James Ezuma) has failed to provide a single document, even if it is hand written, for any of the vehicles,” he said.

The CP of Imo state further noted that the man has rather been incoherent with where he procured the vehicles, who brought them and when.

“Up till today, he has not been able to say anything tangible. He has not been able to give us the required answers to the questions!

“That is why I have set up a team to specifically investigate the status of the 10 exotic

vehicles. We are going to contact our partners at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, for them to give us details of the vehicles”, Mr. Katsina said.

The Command has so far taken the engine and chassis numbers and all other material elements with regard to these vehicles. The police needs to know to know how the vehicles came to be in suspect’s (Dr. James Ezuma’s) possession.

The boss of Imo police said Dr. Ezuma is in police custody, adding the legal department of the Command has started compiling the man’s dossier.

“We have it on record that sometime in 2009, he was arrested for incarcerating about 30 pregnant teenagers from one his dens in Abia State, stressing that the matter is pending at the Federal High Court”, Mr. Katsina narrated.

The police boss also revealed that the same man was arrested in Imo over gun running, when the police recovered three prohibited firearms from him. The mentioned matter was also in court. The CP added that current rescue of 16 pregnant teenagers and loss of a baby belonging to one of the girls is another dimension to suspect’s sordid record.
